OUR solutions

A superyacht draws on generator power in at least three distinct ways. Zenoro designs, builds, and tests a generator set for each of these solutions, in-house in Ravenstein, the Netherlands. Our generators are equipped with aftertreatment systems from Xeamos, our partner. Each generator set can be fitted with DPF, SCR or a combined DPF/SCR solution. The unique Zenoro enclosure is seamlessly designed and reinforced to support the Xeamos aftertreatment system.

Auxiliary

An auxiliary generator set runs independently alongside the yacht’s main systems. It carries the load that keeps a superyacht comfortable around the clock: air conditioning through the night, galley standby for an early start, lighting, navigation, and communication systems that never switch off. Every set is custom-built in Ravenstein and built on renowned engine platforms, sized and configured to the superyacht’s own load profile.

Propulsion

On a superyacht with electric or hybrid propulsion, the generator set feeds the drivetrain directly. That demand swings constantly, from slow maneuvering in the marina to sustained cruising load, at times with hotel load added on the same busbar. Each set is custom-built in Ravenstein on renowned engine platforms, matched to the power output, speed range and control logic per project.

Emergency

An emergency generator has one function on board: keep steering gear, navigation, communication, and bilge pumps running the moment the main power plant fails. Every set for this solution is pre-engineered on the proved John Deere engine base. Supplied from stock, we can ensure a short delivery time

Our references

Over the years, Zenoro has supplied generator sets across all three solutions types, auxiliary, propulsion, and emergency, to shipyards. Projects have ranged from 55 kWe to 1.5 MW, each engineered to the machinery room and duty cycle of that particular build. The references overview brings together a selection of these projects.
