A yacht in Puerto Rico needed to be operational within a week, ahead of a scheduled charter. The cause: a faulty engine. With a tight deadline and a charter already booked, there was little room for delay.
We worked in collaboration with SuperYacht Spares to resolve the issue. SuperYacht Spares sourced and delivered the replacement engine on short notice. We took care of the installation on board.
Transporting a full engine onto a yacht is not straightforward. The unit was brought on board using a small barge, a method suited to the vessel’s location and the limited time available. Once on board, the engine was installed, followed by thorough testing and fine-tuning to confirm correct operation before departure.
The yacht was ready in time for the charter.
This project required close coordination between two parties working on a fixed deadline: sourcing and delivery on one side, and on-board installation and commissioning on the other.
